PSYCH-K®

What is PSYCH-K® ?

This program is a synergistic combination of divinely inspired ideas fused with some elements derived from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), psycho-spiritual processes, Milton Erickson-style hypnotherapy, educational kinesiology, and acupressure healing modalities. The result is a highly dynamic and successful means of changing self-sabotaging beliefs.

With scientific validation that changes are indeed being made within the brain during the balancing process. The neuroscientist Dr. Jeffrey Fannin from the Center for Cognitive Enhancement in Glendale, Arizona, has worked with Rob Williams and PSYCH-K® since January 2009.

Together, they published an article in the peer-reviewed journal, Neuro Connections, in September 2011, documenting the findings of 125 participants using PSYCH-K® technology.

The processes differ significantly from most other healing modalities. It is believed that the person seeking change (Client/Partner) holds the answers within their own subconscious mind for the presenting concern. As we are a composite of all our past experiences, this is the most appropriate place to find the answer.

The Facilitator assists the Partner in discovering their own inner wisdom and making the changes the Partner seeks, not the changes the Facilitator thinks are best.

The person conducting any session is called a Facilitator, not a practitioner, doctor, or therapist.

This differentiation is very important because a Facilitator “facilitates the processes” so that the client can discover the necessary answers within their own subconscious mind using the processes. Facilitators are not the “keepers of the answers”; the clients are!

PSYCH-K® and the Subconscious Mind

The subconscious mind is our autopilot. Its role is to keep us safe and regulate vital bodily functions.

Recent studies have shown that 95-98% of our day is spent acting directly from our subconscious. The reason this is so powerful for making positive changes is that our subconscious can process a million times more information per second compared to the conscious mind.

Our subconscious mind is largely programmed before the age of seven. At this point in our development, we operate in a state of super learning and absorb everything we can from our environment.

This learning state occurs so we can upload large amounts of information about our world and how it works. We observe the behaviors of our caregivers, siblings, and extended family and learn to distinguish between useful and useless social behaviors. When we are in this learning state, we see the world as black or white, so the behaviors, values, attitudes, and beliefs of those closest to us are imprinted in our subconscious. However, recent studies have shown that 70% of what was programmed is useless, negative, or limiting.

Until recently, little was known about how to reprogram the subconscious. However, a new range of techniques known as energy psychology has emerged.

PSYCH-K® is undoubtedly the fastest and most effective approach. It is non-invasive, does not require long-term sessions, and results can be seen and felt very quickly.

“When you rewrite the software of your mind, you change the printout of your life… and the world!” Rob Williams, Originator of PSYCH-K®

PSYCH-K® and Trauma

PSYCH-K® can help you release old patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior with a variety of techniques to reprogram the subconscious mind. One of these techniques is called ‘Stress Transformation,’ which transforms the way your body reacts to stressful or traumatic events and memories. The body often perceives things in our present or future reality as stressful because what it perceives is somewhat similar to something that happened in the past.

A trauma that could have occurred when you were a child, and although the adult mind may not remember or have a strong memory of that experience, the subconscious mind remembers and is doing its job to try to keep you safe. After doing ‘Stress Transformation,’ the body no longer perceives a memory (past) or event (future) as stressful, and the fight-or-flight stress response is no longer triggered. This allows you to remain calm, collected, and poised, no longer affected by the past and able to act towards the future you truly desire.

Dr. Bruce Lipton and the Biology of Belief

Dr. Bruce Lipton brought the study of epigenetics to the world’s attention through his book ‘The Biology of Belief.’ This new science explains that humans are not at the mercy of their genes and that the perception of the environment is what causes genes to express themselves. He explains that our perception of the world is largely influenced by our subconscious beliefs that were imprinted from the last trimester when we were babies up to around the age of seven. Dr. Bruce Lipton is a strong advocate of PSYCH-K® and attributes the success of his book to the process.

What is the PSYCH-K® Method?

PSYCH-K® uses a variety of techniques, including self-muscle testing, permission protocols, whole-brain integration processes, stress transformation, integration of new goal statements (balances), creation of action steps, and advanced specific balances. These techniques are designed to create positive changes in all areas of your life.

Self-Muscle Testing

PSYCH-K® muscle testing is used as a tool to communicate with the subconscious mind through a physiological response of the body. It is a simple, non-invasive assessment tool that has been used for many years in applied kinesiology and a number of other modalities. Muscle testing involves the Facilitator applying gentle downward pressure on the client’s arm

When using muscle testing in PSYCH-K®, the session Facilitator does not make the distinction between a strong or weak response; it is the client who makes that distinction. When using muscle testing in PSYCH-K®, the person being tested should be looking down, as this activates the kinesthetic system in the brain. Looking forward or up will generally give false readings, and it is the Facilitator’s role to ensure the client has their eyes open, looking down for all muscle tests.

After years of brain research, researchers have developed a series of brain integration processes. This includes certain poses and movement patterns demonstrated to you by your PSYCH-K® facilitator, aimed at ensuring that the left and right hemispheres are connected and ready to integrate a new belief or transform stress or uncomfortable emotions linked to trauma.

These techniques are easy and fun to implement, while not being invasive or threatening to the client.

You can use these techniques between sessions to calm your nervous system and process uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, emotions, memories, and impulses that arise.

A fundamental distinction between PSYCH-K® and other techniques is the permission protocols. Many forms of therapy and self-help work to try to correct a problem in your life without considering the possibility that the problem or issue might be cleverly disguised as an opportunity for some important learning.

Additionally, problems and issues may simply be conscious or subconscious strategies to meet other needs in your life. The problem you want to change may be a solution to a much larger problem. In PSYCH-K®, we ask for permission from the subconscious and superconscious, commonly known as the ‘higher self,’ to ensure that what we are working on is safe and appropriate before proceeding with the belief change process, known as ‘balance.’

Belief statements are simple, positive, emotionally meaningful, present-tense statements that are imprinted into the subconscious. A well-formed statement is written in the first person using I, me, or my. An example of a goal statement:

“I learn new things easily and quickly.”

By imprinting new useful beliefs on a subconscious level, we can create new perceptions that become truths. .

The subconscious and conscious, if aligned, can work together to generate new behaviors that are consistent with newly programmed truths, creating new realities.

The PSYCH-K® Method is a truly transformative approach to reprogramming your subconscious.

“The closer you get to knowing that you alone create the world of your experience, the more vital it becomes for you to discover who is doing the creating.” – Eric Micha’el Leventhal

What PSYCH-K® is Not:

PSYCH-K® is Not Always a Quick Fix

Many people seek quick or immediate relief from whatever is bothering them without ever understanding why the challenge is present in the first place. PSYCH-K® can offer immediate results in some circumstances. In other circumstances, it may take some time to unravel the challenges, and several sessions may be required to achieve the desired outcome. Rome was not built in a day. Neither was your life. Each of us is very complex and unique individuals. It is important to honor the fact that we are complex beings. Sometimes complex beings need support and time to discover what is at the root of the problem. Be patient with yourself and stay curious when using PSYCH-K® processes to discover what created your challenges.

PSYCH-K® is Not a “Cure-All”

PSYCH-K® is not a “cure” as we never offer a “treatment.” Our culture has trained us to think we will have immediate gratification and all our ailments will be healed. While PSYCH-K® has fascinating and amazing results most of the time, we cannot say it will “cure” anyone; again… we are not offering a “treatment.” We have to realize we are on a journey, a spiritual journey. This journey is full of challenge, risk, and growth. We grow from challenges when we apply ourselves and continue to learn. Living life can be rewarding, exciting, scary, and at some point in our future, we will eventually die. We can never say that PSYCH-K® will “cure.” We can say that PSYCH-K® will enhance our life and help us to understand ourselves more completely, regardless of what is happening in our life.

PSYCH-K® is not for everyone

PSYCH-K® is most effective for people who are truly committed to achieving results. It is best suited for individuals who are highly self-responsible and determined. The use of the processes may require confronting frustrating, uncomfortable, or unpleasant beliefs we have about others or ourselves. It is more suitable for people who are curious and willing to approach their life with openness and a loving desire to change. PSYCH-K® calls us to step into our personal power and confront what we may have been avoiding for a long time. If you are ready to change, PSYCH-K® can work wonders in your life!
